Bright green meadows or glittering snow as far as the eye can see. Past Ladis with the picturesque Laudegg Castle, the small natural bathing lake "Überwasser" and the fine village of Fiss it still goes upwards towards the mountains and the sun until the road comes to an end on a grand high plain. The design of the Hotel Alpina makes it seem as if it is not a hurriedly built block of houses but the result of a gradual construction process. And that is indeed the case: The Hotel Garni Alpina evolved step by step from a small guest house over a period of 12 years. Today everything is really new in this four star house – even the four stars! Creative interior designers were involved in this process but overall each detail shows the hand of the Purtscher family: Modest, cosy, functional, aesthetically pleasing in a sustainable way and miles away from the modern, cool and - to use today’s term - “hip“ hotels, which give guests the impression that they are entering a walk-in refrigerator.
In the Hotel Alpina in Serfaus you can still find them: the cosy corners, the comfortable sofas, the reading lamp, the library, the lazy armchair, fluffy cushions, the snug for laughing and eating... all the pleasant things that guests like.
