Step by step. Along wide forest paths and narrow trails. With every meter of altitude gained, you''ll get closer to your destination. You can almost smell the Kaiserschmarren. Can you hear the whistling in the distance? With a bit of luck you will spot a marmot in the alpine meadows. Just round the next bend, a rustic alpine hut is already waiting for you. Ambitious mountaineers hike a little further and find their fortune under a summit cross. You pause. The view is breathtaking.

It is Serfaus' local mountain: the Furgler. Hiking is a blessing. Everything that seemed important just a moment ago shrinks and has no meaning for the moment. Up here you feel free, the sun is shining and a pleasantly cool breeze is blowing, even in summer. It is precisely these special moments that await you on a hiking holiday in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis.
Not less than five family theme trails are ideally suited for hiking with a pram. The paths are very wide and strongly surfaced, so that they can be easily used with a pram.

We are happy to help you finding the perfect hike. Don't hesitate to ask our staff at the reception desk. Brochures and hiking maps are available in our alpina&more APARTMENTS | ZIMMER. However, if you would like to get some information in advance, we recommend the tour planner on the website of the tourism association.
If you hike to the more quiet and higher mountain areas and pay proper attention, with a bit of luck you will have the chance to hear the whistle of a marmot. If you are especially lucky, you may even spot a rodent peering alertly or lying in the sun. The animals are diurnal, but prefer to avoid the midday heat. Therefore, you have the best chances early in the morning or late in the afternoon. We especially recommend keeping an eye out for the little rodents on the marmot trail, around the Furglersee lake or at the Fisser Joch.
In the Högsee you can enjoy pleasant cooling on hot summer days at an altitude of 1,829m. Swimming is allowed here, so what are you waiting for? Take a dip in the cool water or go for a spin on the pedal boat. If you prefer a more pristine and natural experience, hike to the romantically situated Urgsee. Upon arrival there, it's time to take off your shoes! Swimming is not allowed in the natural mountain lake, but if you don't mind the ice-cold water, give your tired feet a kick. 100% refreshment guarantee.
Your souvenir of a perfect hiking holiday. Grab yourself a hiking pass (for a small fee) and set off on your medal hunt. Throughout the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis region, a wide range of hiking destinations are marked out for you to conquer. At each station there is a sign and a punch. Punch your hiking pass and collect points. The more diligent you are, the better you score. According to your number of points, you will receive a bronze, silver or gold hiking medal. Tip: For the smallest hiking foxes there is already a Murmli & Berta hiking pin from 20 points.
Marend is Tyrolean for snack. In the past, hard-working farmers used to recharge their batteries with a Marend in the afternoon. The snack has remained to this day and is kept in a traditional manner by families. Because a Marend is not a quick snack in between meals. It is an exchange of conviviality. People take their time and sit down together in a cosy atmosphere. You can try the Tyrolean Marend after a strenuous hike in our bistro. We look forward to seeing you!
In the Alpine region, there is an old tradition for escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It' s as simple as effective. If you want to switch off and let your thoughts run free, just sit down on one of the numerous "Holzbankla" (wooden benches) in the region and simply do nothing for 20 to 30 minutes. Just breathe deeply and enjoy the warmth of the sun on your skin. Observe nature. Nothing else. You will see, you haven't been this relaxed for a long time.
